        Asur is a Hindi crime thriller web series that was released on March 2, 2020. It received a lot of positive reviews from viewers and gained popularity during the lockdown period in 2020. The first season, titled "Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side," is available on the Voot OTT platform.

The second season of Asur was highly anticipated by many viewers. It was released on June 1, 2023, on the Jio Cinema OTT platform. The second season also consists of 8 episodes.

One of the unique aspects of this web series is that each episode has a distinct name and a unique logo. Both seasons of Asur were directed by Oni Sen and featured excellent writing by Gaurav Shukla.

The story revolves around Dhananjay Rajput, played by Arshad Warsi, who is a suspended CBI officer. He is accused of a crime and seeks redemption by unraveling a series of good versus evil mysteries. The character Shubh, portrayed by Vishesh Bansal, is a psychopathic killer who aims to become the god of destruction. The series explores ancient texts, Hindu mythology, and the existence of "Asura's" (demons) and "Deva's" (gods) in an intriguing manner.

The cast also includes Barun Sobti as Nikhil Nair(Forensic expert), Riddhi Dogra as Nusrat Saeed(Colleague of Nikhil), Amey Wagh as Rasool Sheikh, Pawan Chopra as Shashank Awasthi, and Anupriya Goenka as Naina Nair(Nikhil's Wife), among others. The plot involves the collaboration of CBI and ATF (Anti-Terrorism Squad) to solve an Asur case, with various characters facing challenges and setbacks.

Shubh, the antagonist, wears a mask and sends video clips revealing information about his next target, challenging the CBI openly. The series highlights the struggles faced by the CBI and ATF, often leading to unsuccessful outcomes and sacrifices.

Asur delves into the theme that in the age of Kali (the current era), good people have no value, and evil people will kill good people for their own selfish gains. This dialogue resonates throughout the series.  Kesar Bharadwaj (played by Gaurav Arora) and Jagdish Munda (played by Amit Anand Raut), joins Shubh to fight against evil and prepare for sacrifices.
